Sustainable Approach to Weed Management: The Role of Precision Weed Management
نویسندگان
چکیده
In the last few decades, increase in world’s population has created a need to produce more food, generating, consequently, greater pressure on agricultural production. addition, problems related climate change, water scarcity or decreasing amounts of arable land have serious implications for farming sustainability. Weeds can affect food production systems, product quality and productivity due competition natural resources. On other hand, weeds also be considered valuable indicators biodiversity because their role providing ecosystem services. this sense, there is carry out an effective sustainable weed management process, integrating various control methods (i.e., cultural, mechanical chemical) harmonious way, without harming entire agrarian ecosystem. Thus, intensive mechanization herbicide use should avoided. Herbicide resistance some biotypes major concern today must tackled. recent development technologies promote higher levels production, lower amount inputs needed reduce environmental damage, invariably bringing us closer systems. paper, we review most common conventional non-conventional strategies from sustainability perspective, highlighting application precision automated associated with (PWM).

Using the simplest of definitions, integrated weed management has been described as “putting components [of weed control] together, not taking them apart.” Yet, weed science has stopped at the “field edge” in assembling the components into a truly integrated approach. What is keeping weed scientists from developing real integrated weed control regardless of space and time? The answer to this qu...

Numerous plant species are considered weeds in agronomic cropping systems. Weeds have many attributes undesirable to crop producers, not the least being the ability to reduce crop yields through competition for resources such as sunlight, water, nutrients, and space. Weeds also may harbor insects and provide a host for certain plant pathogens. Some weed species, such as wild garlic and eastern ...
